An open community sharing a common language makes us all more effective.
Shared
The numbers are our language
Existing communities lack a shared language. The same goes for file systems. There are many ways to refer to the same concept. Confusion results from the ambiguity.
Our system defines a language. When we’re talking about backups, that’s always 14.23 Backups & recovery. Now you can ask for help in a really specific way.
Our community lives on the forum and Discord. Both have dedicated sections mirroring the Small Business System.
So you won’t be asking for help with your backups in a channel full of people talking about tax returns.
We’ll keep everything in the right channel so you can jump in, get targeted help, and get back to work.

Information from the community feeds the system
A problem with communities is that knowledge can be hard to find. If you didn’t see it scroll past the first time, you’ll probably never see it.
This is why I built this system as a website. Lucy and I will be monitoring the community, and feeding information that should be persistent back in to the system.
If it’s useful, it’ll become permanent. You shouldn’t have to worry about searching for information. We’ll do that for you.
Open
More efficient together
People boast of their closed ‘private community’ as if restricting access is a good thing. We disagree.
Our community is open. We believe that we can become more efficient if we work together. You’re welcome to join us and ask for help even if you’re not a member.
